We Are Building A Sustainable Future

PBT and Urinalysis Testing

We offer drug testing services for court-ordered and private pre-employment testing. PBT stands for “Preliminary Breath Test.” It is a type of breath test used to measure the alcohol content in a person’s breath. A urinalysis drug test examines a person’s urine for the presence of drugs or alcohol. Both tests are non-invasive and quick to perform, but PBT is typically used for immediate testing for our residents, and urinalysis for more accurate and long-term testing typically ordered by the Courts.

Substance Abuse Counseling

Substance abuse counseling is a form of therapy that helps individuals with substance abuse problems. The goal of counseling is to help the individual recognize the negative effects of substance abuse, understand the reasons why they continue to use, and develop coping mechanisms to deal with triggers and cravings. Our counselors are trained in various approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and the 12-Step program.

Educational Advancement Assistance

The goal of educational advancement assistance is to provide individuals with the resources they need to pursue higher education and improve their job prospects to increase their earning potential and overall quality of life. We offer support in the form of mentoring, counseling, and other services designed to help individuals succeed in their educational and career goals.

Court-Ordered Temporary Housing Solutions

We provide assistance in situations where an individual is ordered by a court to temporarily reside in a specific housing facility or location as a condition of their release or as part of a sentence. This may include, but is not limited to, situations where a person is released on bail or probation or as part of a sentence for a crime. We provide a safe and structured environment that allows individuals to work on addressing any issues that led to their court involvement.

Spiritual Growth Through Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous offers a powerful 12-Step program, which is a set of guidelines for living a sober life and making amends for past mistakes. The steps involve admitting one’s powerlessness over alcohol, seeking help from a higher power, and making good on those one has hurt. The ultimate goal of AA is to help individuals achieve long-term sobriety and lead fulfilling lives. Huron House facilitates AA’s peer support that helps people stay sober and achieve spiritual growth.

Narcotics Anonymous and Celebrate Recovery Offerings

Narcotics Anonymous is a 12-Step program for individuals struggling with addiction to drugs. This program is based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and provides a supportive community for individuals in recovery. Celebrate Recovery is a Christian-based 12-Step program for individuals struggling with addiction and other life issues. Both programs are free of charge and are open to anyone looking to overcome addiction. Huron House facilitates both Celebrate Recovery and Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Education

Huron House offers a residential substance abuse treatment education program for court ordered people using our facility. The education is geared toward cognitive thinking to help individuals overcome their addiction and learn how to live a sober substance free life. While this is not an in-patient treatment program, participants take advantage of top educational resources in a structured, safe environment with ongoing support and care.
